DIY Daily Photo Calendar

DIY Daily Photo Calendar

It all started with Microsoft Windows and Bing showing a new picture every day on the start screen/page. Soon, the Google Play Store is flooded with “Daily Wallpaper” Apps, and some of them are absolutely amazing!

It is really nice to see a new wallpaper every day on your phone. But wouldn’t it be nice if you could do the same thing more specific for your family? Like a daily “This day that year” photo!

So today, I created my own DIY Daily Photo Calendar. And I’m going to show you what I did, step by step.

Step 1 – Choose a Calendar Design with an Image placeholder

There are lots of designs available online to choose from. Simply choose the one that suits your surroundings and print it on a thick photo paper.

Make sure the image in the design is easy to cut out, because that is our next step.

Step 2 – Cut out the image from the design

Step 3 – Fix a photo to the back

You can just take an old photograph each day and use a tape to stick it to the back of your calendar.

Sounds simple. But you need to keep a few things in mind. Firstly, use a tape with very light adhesive. Because we need to change the picture daily, we want it to come off easily without tearing our calendar. Also try to stick as little tape as possible. Just enough to keep the photo in place.

Step 4 – Hang It or Frame It

This step is up to you. You can put it in a beautiful photo frame if you like (but it will be tedious to change the picture every day), or just hang it using an exam pad for the sake of convenience.

Step 5 – Repeat!

That’s it. Now every day early in the morning, you can simply replace the picture and give awesome throwback memories to your family.

If you don’t have enough pictures for each day, then I really suggest you take a look at It is an amazing website from where you can get as many royalty free stock photos as you want. The search functionality is really cool. So let’s say you want to search for free background images, or blue images to match your wall color, then you can do that easily. So search your ideas, print them for each day, and use them as if you own them.
